Having done a food shop in the 24 hours between Dexter's Covid test and getting the results we weren't too worried about the next few days. But then there was talk on the TV about another general lockdown in England. Suddenly we thought we'd better book a delivery.
We've done food deliveries when going to a cottage on holiday, so this wasn't entirely a new experience. But everyone C had an online account with (Sainsbury's, M&S, Waitrose) had no slots available. I checked Tesco and got the earliest (8 days off).
The news from B's family is that they are OK; Dexter snotty but not any worse: just like a cold really, which is a relief. No symptoms here either; C had a headache but that only lasted a few hours. She's insisted on separate towels (and, shockingly, has banned kissing for the duration of the two weeks). I'm watching out for withdrawal symptoms. This is the first time in 30+ years that one of us has not gone to the shops each day for a Daily Mail.
So far, so good. Achievements:
- Christmas pudding mad
- Christmas cake made
- garden tidied and green bin full
- bathroom decorated
- blog revived(!)
- online Christmas shopping instigated
- counting progresses - is Trump going to get another 4 years?
- is the sale of Mum's bungalow going to go through at the weekend?
