Watching an interview with Michael Caine on TV.

M: Did I go with you to see Get Carter?

C: Yes. The Palace Cinema, Malton.

M: Brutal, wasn't it?

C: We spent most of the film kissing.

As Get Carter was released in 1971 it was only 45 years ago! This may explain why I never understood the plot till I saw it on TV decades later.
