(Creatures of habit, we often walk the 4 blocks or so from our house to the River Trent and either turn right for the short walk over Trent Bridge or left for the longer walk over the toll bridge. Since February, when C suffered the first of her ankle injuries this year, we've only done the short walk.)
On arriving at the river, Tuesday last week.
C: Shall we try the other way round this time?
M: OK. But shouldn't we wait till we get home?
