Copenhagen?
Bill has now reached Copenhagen and he reports it is "the only city I've ever been in where office girls come out at lunchtime to sunbathe topless in the city parks".
Two problems:
How to verify that this admirable tradition still continues 20-odd years after Bryson's report?
How to sneak Copenhagen (SUMMERTIME!) onto our list of "must do city breaks" without raising C's suspicions?
I'm not sure that's still the case. It used to happen in Stockholm too. But a new modesty has swept Scandinavia in the last decade and topless bathing is not nearly as popular as it once was.
Copenhagen is still a great place to visit (in Summer at least)! And you can tell C you're there to thrash the bastard you missed on Iceland.
Can't believe you're still reading this rubbish, Mark! The only thrashing on the cards is if I bring my tennis racket and you are a very very poor player. Maybe one of these years...
